More big deals have recently surfaced and are shelved for your viewing pleasure:

A Chicago favorite: Dierdre's Surrealist's Bible, in good condition with fair dj-$25

Cage-Cunningham-Johns: Dancers on a Plane;  Borzoi Book, Knopf N.Y. 1990, with Anthony d'Offay Gallery  and containing essays by Susan Sontag, Mark Rosenthal ( an old pal of yours truly ) and others. A show catalog in buttercup buckram with many illustrations and photos of the artists and their works ( notation drafts in the case of Cage ).  First US edition, no dj, some minor soiling, and a remainder magic marker line across the bottom of its 166 pages. $65

The Official Atlas of the Civil War, Thomas Yoseloff, New York and London, 1958 - a huge blue buckram covered book featuring official maps of all the major civil war battles. Eighteen by fourteen inches, water damage to cover, mostly confined to the lower edge an corners, bumps to corners, warping to boards, and worn through to boards on leading edge of front cover. The interior of the book is in great condition, clean and undamaged. It is unpaged. There are over 180 plates of maps, illustrations, military equipment, photos, line cuts, flags, and more.   This would be a prime candidate for a magnificent rebind job, but it's  good enough for the average collector of Civil War material, in our humble opinion. $225

Asimov's Annotated Don Juan,  Isaac Asimov, Lord Byron, etc., illustrated by Milton Glaser, Doubleday Garden City 1972, 1153 pages slipcased, dj and case with minor chips and tears, otherwise in good to very good condition. $275

It must be those conical little carrot things that get rejected ( <>). We must be careful: someone may be watching.
