More dope on the Pulitzer controversy. Yesterday's NY Times features many book people chiming in with recommendations. Here are most of them, and I'll put this list on the store blog, too, along with a cute photo to be chosen when time allows if the battery's not dead. AND!! the non-winners are: Adrian/The Great NIght, Torres/We the Animals, Mat Johnson/Pym, Harbach/Art of Fielding, Otsuka/The Buddha in the Attic, Perrotta/The Leftovers, Eugenides/The Marriage Plot, Pearlman/Binocular Vision,Banks/Lost Memory of Skin, Ward/Salvage theBones,Russell/Swamplandia!, Wilson/The Family Fang,. These can be added to the three runners up listed elsewhere. ( DFW, D.Johnson, and ...the other one, probably Swamplandia! ) We don't necessarily stock newer titles. It's a frustrating downside of paying one dollar each for hardbound books. J.M.
