To Be Young, Gifted, and Read
It is great that, on top of all the magical literature I read as a child, more and more will continue to be heaped against my advancing years. But greater than that are the likes of David Almond, whose supernatural gift for story distinctly glows, even in this never-ending pile of already sparkling voices. And that, at the end of my twenties, I should discover him and feel the wonder and terror of twelve again. (P.S. it is very much the feeling cast by "Moonrise Kingdom", as well.).
